Frequently asked questions
Can the recipient edit or remove my annotations?
No. When you save, the annotations are permanently embedded into the page. They can't be moved, deleted, or edited by anyone — the document is essentially "flattened" with your markup baked in.
Is my file safe?
Yes. Your file never leaves your computer — there's no upload, no cloud storage, and nobody else can see it. Everything happens right in your browser.
Is it free?
Completely free — no account, no watermarks, no limits on how many PDFs you can annotate.
Can I undo my changes?
Yes — before saving. Hover over any annotation and click the X to remove it, or click Undo to remove the last one. You can also clear all annotations from a page or the entire document. Once you click Save, the annotations become permanent.
Can I add text notes anywhere on the page?
Yes. Select the "Text Note" tool, click anywhere on the page, and start typing. Press Enter to save the note, or Shift+Enter for a new line. The text will be embedded at that exact position in the final PDF.
Will the annotated PDF print correctly?
Yes. The saved PDF opens and prints normally in any viewer. Highlights, underlines, drawings, and text notes will all appear exactly as you placed them.
